Abstract:

Case management training for bariatric and metabolic surgery in China is rapidly developing, currently enhanced through academic conferences, specialized coursework, and clinical internships to elevate the skills of case managers. However, issues like outdated training content, limited formats, and lack of standards persist. It is recommended that the timeliness of training content related to emerging obesity treatments be improved, the flexibility of training formats enhanced, and uniform standards established to improve the quality and standardization of training. These measures are expected to enhance the professional level of case managers, improve the quality of care services for bariatric and metabolic surgery patients, and promote the healthy development of bariatric and metabolic surgery.
