Abstract:

Maladaptive diet behavior after metabolic and bariatric surgery is an important factor that leads to postoperative insufficient weight loss, long-term weight regain and reduced quality of life. However, the concepts of maladaptive eating behavior after weight loss are unclear, and postoperative follow-up needs improvement. Research on this aspect is limited and has not been paid enough attention in the clinic. This paper reviews the types of maladaptive diet behavior, analyzes its influencing factors, describes the assessment tools and intervention methods, and provides references for medical staff to scientifically select appropriate assessment methods and formulate effective intervention programs to improve the postoperative outcome of the weight loss population.
