Abstract:

Bariatric surgery is a safe and effective way to treat obesity and improve quality of life. Because of the late start of bariatric surgery research in China, little research has been conducted on the health-related quality of life of postoperative patients. This paper reviews the health-related quality of life assessment tools developed at home and abroad for bariatric surgery patients, outlines the content, characteristics, and applications of universal and specific assessment tools, and analyzes the strengths and weaknesses of different tools to provide a reference for nursing staff to accurately assess the health-related quality of life status of patients and develop localized assessment tools.
