Abstract:

The new type of swallowable and self absorbing intragastric balloon (Allurion Balloon) does not require endoscopic assistance and can be swallowed through the oral cavity. After being placed for 4-6 months, the liquid inside the balloon will be discharged, making it a simpler, safer, and more effective weight loss device. This article reports a case of successful insertion of a swallowable and self-absorbing novel intragastric balloon for the treatment of mild obesity.
