Objective

A summary of experiences for nursing cooperation on 270 metabolic laparoscopic surgeries.

Methods

For 270 laparoscopic metabolic surgeries in period from October 2013 to December 2018 in our hospital, there were preoperative visits. It should be divided into two periods. Before the operation, it is vital for nurses to visit patience and strictly understand the state of the illness, with proper mental caring and comprehensive evaluation. During the operation period, nurse should provide comprehensive and secure nursing services while accurately coordinating usage of series equipment such as gastric calibration tube, stapler, and ultrasonic scalpel.

Results

All 270 metabolic laparoscopic surgeries succeed without transferring laparotomy approach during operation. The percentage of satisfaction for patience and their families is 96.8% while for doctors is up to 99.5%. There are no operational nursing complication occurring.

Conclusions

It is necessary to provide adequate pre-operational preparation while choosing and protecting proper operational position for ensuring success rate of operation. Meanwhile, skillful cooperation from nurse is also important for successful operation.
