Abstract:

The global incidence rate and prevalence of obesity are rising rapidly. Obesity can cause diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, metabolic syndrome, and seriously affect the physical and mental health and quality of life of patients. Weight reduction surgery is currently the most effective method to treat obesity and obesity related complications, but patients after weight reduction surgery still face the risk of re-admission. The occurrence of re-admission will not only increase the burden of patients and families, but also occupy medical resources and consume medical costs. It is important to pay attention to avoidable re-admission for weight reduction surgery itself. This article reviews the research progress of the readmission of patients with obesity after weight-loss surgery, focusing on the introduction of the status quo, influencing factors, coping strategies and nursing measures, in order to provide a basis for reducing the incidence of readmission of patients, reducing the economic burden of diseases and improving the quality of medical services.

Key words: Bariatric surgery, Readmission, Influencing factors, Coping strategies, Nursing measures
