目的

探讨60~70岁正常BMI老年人腰臀比(WHR)与肌肉力量的关系。

方法

采用横断面调查,对348例符合标准的老年患者按不同性别、WHR进行分组,并对收集的一般资料、上下肢肌力等资料进行统计分析。

结果

正常BMI老年人身高、体重、WHR、握力和相对握力均存在性别差异。男性臀部型肥胖人数(51.45%)最多,女性腰部型肥胖人数(73.14%)最多,高WHR(腰部型肥胖)老年人比低WHR(正常和臀部型肥胖)老年人有更长的坐立试验时间,且WHR与坐立试验时间呈正相关(P<0.001)。

结论

在BMI正常的情况下,相比较上肢肌力,60~70岁老年男女的WHR对其下肢肌力的影响更大,WHR与其下肢肌力呈负相关,随WHR的增大,老年男女的下肢肌力均显著下降。

Objective

To explore the relationship between waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) and muscle strength in the elderly 60~70 years old with normal body mass index (BMI).

Methods

This was a cross-sectional study. A total of 376 eligible elderly patients were grouped according to gender and WHR by cross-sectional investigation, and the collected general data and muscle strength of upper and lower limbs were statistically analyzed.

Results

There were sex differences in height, weight, WHR, grip strength and relative grip strength in the elderly with normal BMI. Hip obesity was the most common in males (51.45%) and middle waist obesity in females (73.14%). The elderly with high WHR (waist obesity) had a longer sit-stand test time than those with low WHR (normal and hip obesity) (P<0.001). WHR was positively correlated with sitting-stand test time (P<0.001).

Conclusions

In the case of normal BMI, WHR had a greater effect on lower limb muscle strength than upper limb muscle strength, and WHR was negatively correlated with lower limb muscle strength. With the increase of WHR, the lower limb muscle strength of both sexes decreased significantly.
